Programs for incarcerated individuals funded in the State Fiscal Year 2024-25 Enacted Budget
Introduction
Chair Dilan and Honorable Members of the Committee, thank you for the opportunity to testify today. I am here representing the Correctional Association of New York (CANY). Founded in 1844, CANY is an independent, non-profit organization mandated by state law to provide oversight of state correctional facilities to identify and report on living and working conditions, the treatment of incarcerated individuals, and the status of policy implementation.
